Cabins in the canopy. The only neighbour is the river.

Why Terrae selected it

Treehouse Lodge puts the rooms in the canopy at the confluence of the Yarapa and Cumaceba, near Pacaya-Samiria. You do not look at the forest from a clearing. You sleep in it.

It is in the Collection for that architecture, not for the word eco.

The stay

Cabins sit in the trees, some more than twenty metres up. You plan each day with a guide: canoe, walk, or the river, depending on the water.

Transfer from Iquitos is about two and a half hours, car then boat. There is no wifi. That is the stay.

What to know

Terrae has not slept here. Editorial selection on partner documentation.

Fly to Iquitos. The lodge runs two daily pickups. High water (December to May) opens more canoe channels. Low water (June to November) opens more walking trails.
