Why Terrae selected it
We stayed at Jardin Malanga in December 2025. The house sits in old banana land, six hectares, with Les Saintes on the horizon.
We chose it for the timber architecture, the altitude cool, and a host table that cooks Basse-Terre produce rather than a resort menu.
How life feels here
Experiences on site
The stay
Suites in the main house and timber cottages in the garden. An overflow pool looks at the Caribbean. Dinner is a single menu: fish from the coast, vegetables from the land.
Field reality
What to know
Evenings at altitude are cool (about 20 to 22 °C). A car is effectively required. Soufrière trailheads are about 25 minutes up. Confirm the current minimum stay with the lodge.
